The Ewinscher has the same lever arm and grip as a normal manual crank. The battery is replaceable and all components are waterproof to IPX6 standard
The Ewincher is to help sailors who have already thought about retrofitting electric winches, but because of too little space for drive and additional batteries on board or the high cost of this desire would not implement.
The E-drive crank does not have to be installed and, thanks to its lithium-ion battery and brushless motor, it should not only have a lot of power, but it should also last at least one sailing day.
When setting sail as support for the last meter fall or for trimming the pods, the Ewincher should be helpful. By pressing a button, the rotational speed can be regulated. With a second button, the direction of rotation is changed, so are both courses of Zweigangwisch available. In addition, can be cranked as normal and the e-support can be used simultaneously.
Try ewincher and adopt it for all your sail manoeuvres! Here is a list of situations where the electric winch handle ewincher will be the great help as you need to sheet in large speed or to finish hauling in your sail with fine adjustment.
For the different manoeuvres related to your sailing:
• To hoist the mainsail
• Rolling out and furling the genoa
• Rolling out the spinnaker
• Lifting up a drift
• Hoist an annex
For sail settings:
• Hauling in and hardening up the mainsail
• Hauling in and hardening up the genoa
• Hauling in the spinnaker
For all winches:
• Vertical and horizontal winches (mast foot)
• Winch on davits
• Flat winch
• Rescue on electric windlasses
• Winch for lifting keel and drift
Main manoeuvres:
Tacking is one of the most common manoeuvres in sailing. This consists of turning the boat to change the side by which it receives the wind: change tack. During this manoeuvre, the axis of the boat passes through that of the wind. You will then be able to use ewincher to quickly haul in your genoa in order to keep your speed and manoeuvre with ease. Taking is distinguished from jibing by the wind direction: it must be facing the boat.
In the same way as tacking, jibing is to turn the boat to change tack. However, we use this term in a tailwind: wind behind you. This manoeuvre can be complicated to perform if the sails are large or if the wind is strong. The ewincher handle allows you to sheet in the mainsail sheet easily to bring it back to the wind axis.
A sequence of tacking allows to go up to the wind in zigzag and for which ewincher greatly facilitates navigation. It is thus possible to reach a point where it is not possible to sail directly because of the direction of the wind.
