Gebo Thermic-Line-ST Marine windows.
Outside frame 316 Stainless Steel, Inside soft tone aluminium or powdercoated RAL colour.
Gebo-Boomsma have been producing aluminium marine windows of the highest quality since 1960, built for the harsh weather conditions at sea.
As yachting, (especialy here in the North/Northwest of Europe) takes place not only in good but also in more extreme weather conditions the need for well insulated windows is high.
However, during the last few years stainless steel marine windows have become popular as the shiney polished frames exude quality .
High polished 316 stainless steel is a beautiful material wich gives modern Yachts “that extra finishing touch” but compared to aluminium stainless steel has its disadvantages.
Stainless steel is an expensive product and much harder then aluminium.
Because of the hardness of s/steel it is much more complicated to manufacture complex curves in frames.

The disadvantages of s/steel windows compared to aluminium windows are shown below.
• Most s/steel windows are not thermical isolated.
• Stainless steel frames are almost impossible to bend and corners can only be mitred.
• Stainless steel windows are limited in terms of design.
• The finishing quality of s/steel windows is quite rough.
• S/steel windows are very heavy and are therefore not very user-friendly.
• S/steel windows are much more expensive then aluminium windows.

With the rising cost of stainless profiles, the need for thermical isolated shipwindows and keeping in mind the disadvantages of working in s/steel we at Gebo went to work to create a unique design, a system which is not produced anywhere else in the world.

One of the biggest advantages of using aluminium is the extruding capability which allows complicated construction and profile shapes to be produced.
Gebo Thermic-line is a worldwide patented revolutionary windowsystem which permanently eliminates the terminal conductivity between inner and outer frame and has been tested by TNO.
Gebo-Boomsma combines specially manufactured Highshine polished 316 stainless steel covers and aluminium frames in one unique product.

The hard and cold appearance of s/steel doesn’t normally compliment the colours of the boat interior but softtone aluminium or powdercoated RAL colour does. Gebo Thermic-Line-ST Marine windows are therefore more desirable.
Powdercoating is available in all standaard RAL colours.
The advantages of Gebo Thermic-Line-ST Marine Windows are shown below.
• Thermical insulated. (see Thermic-Line windows)
• The same comprehensive choice, in terms of design as with our aluminium Thermic-Line windows.
• Available in mitred or radius corners.
• Shiney stainless steel beauty on the outside, softtone anodised or powdercoated RAL colour on the inside.
• All items are especially made for a perfect fit wich gives a totally watertight finish.
• Compared to massive stainless windows Gebo Thermic-Line-ST windows are less expensive.
• Provided with an ingenious time saving clampsystem fixing.
• Available in fixed, sliding and hinged window.
• Gebo Thermic-Line-ST windows are much lighter than stainless steel and therefore easier to handle.

In brief, Gebo Thermic-Line-ST Marine Windows have two main advantages;
1. Shiney polished stainless steel outer frames.
2. Thermical insulated windows.
