As specialists in water jet propulsion systems for over 45 years, Castoldi knows what it takes to design and manufacture the perfect hulls which allow Castoldi waterjet drives full scope for enhancing their great benefits.

In its own boatyard Castoldi carries out full manufacturing of the Jet Tenders, from developing and testing hull forms, to quality control checks during every productive process, all trough the use of state of the art materials

Jet Tenders consist of a range of rigid inflatable boats fitted with diesel engines, waterjet drives and the highest quality equipement available for best performing yacht tender duties.

Features include reduced weight and height (through electrically controlled, retractable helm or console), self-bailing cockpit even at standstill (except JT14 and JT15), a deck configuration walk-through from transom to bow, hulls specially designed for the waterjet drive propulsion, a disconnecting clutch (integrated into the jet unit) for a true boat holding position.

Jet Tenders can all travel, remaining stable and dry, at more than 30 knots in rough offshore waters, as well as in shallow waters. They can land on the beach and cross at speed sand and mud banks.

Jet Tenders do not have any exposed rotating parts or protrusions under the keel and are therefore safe for people in the water or on-board and able to safely cruise at night.

Manoeuvrability is superb. Jet Tenders manoeuvre better and faster than boats with traditional propulsion systems in closed spaces as they can use maximum power (and, therefore, maximum thrust) even at low speeds. They are capable of turning on their own axes and of stopping within a maximum space of 1,5-2 times their own length, to avoid impacts and collisions.

The Castoldi waterjet unit type 03 is the smallest unit of the Castoldi range and is the suitable propulsion unit for small pleasure and work boats, having both semi-planning and planning hulls.
The easiness of installation, the very low maintenance required and the long life are the most important characteristics.
The water jet unit type Jet 03 can be coupled to diesel and petrol engines developing a power from 10 up to 60 HP ( depending on the r.p.m. )
The inspection to check the impeller or to clean the duct is very easy: it's possible to completely open the unit rotating the tail which is hinged to the jet main body.
The unit can be driven either directly by means of a tiller for the control of the steering and reversing deflectors and of an handle for the control of the throttle or by remote controls by means of the purposely developed and pratical Castoldi control systems.
Jet 03 casting is made of super tough light weight special aluminum alloy which is given the most sophisticated anti-corrosion finish possible being hard anodized up to 60 microns and becoming by this way very durable.
The installation of Jet 03 is the simplest one: the unit is mounted completely out of the transom of the boat. This allows the quickest installation ( only one hole through the transom ) gives the minimum in board room requirement and the option by easily adjusting the jet mounting, to vary and optimize the boat trim.

The Castoldi water jet unit type Turbodrive 282 is a versatile marine drive propulsion system designed and manufactured on the experience ripened on the successful Jet 06 model, installed on thousands units.
With the new 5 blades stator, nozzle tail vibration dumper and twin-duct reversing deflector grant improved strength and performance for small and medium size applications such as patrol, S.A.R., commercial and pleasure boats.
Turbodrive 282 casting is made of super tough light weight special alluminium alloy for marine use protected by the most sophisticated anti-corrosion finish possible, being hard anodized up to 60 micron and becoming very durable. The most important parts as impeller, impeller housing liner, shafting ecc are manufactured in high grade stainless steel.
Turbodrive 282 has several features that make this model stand out from other marine propulsion units:

- Built in gear box for adapting the power and RPM characteristics of the engine to jet drive

- Positive clutch fo engaging and disengaging the impeller

- Remote operated movable debris screen rake for protecting and cleaning the jet unit water intake

- All oil lubricated bearings
